About APTARE
APTARE® (Latin for adapt, fit, apply) was founded in 1993 by a team of enlightened computer software engineers that focused on designing and delivering transactional database systems that were massively scalable in two dimensions – capacity and performance. In the 1990’s, this team developed some of the largest database systems in the world for Fortune 500 companies and government organizations. In 2002, while working on a professional services contract, the APTARE team recognized the need to provide advanced reporting on enterprise backup environments. Complementing their talents in massively scalable transactional database systems with state-of-the-art user interface design, the APTARE team developed and brought to market its first storage resource reporting product – APTARE StorageConsole® Backup Manager. Introduced in 2003, APTARE StorageConsole Backup Manager introduced new concepts to storage resource management reporting. Unique concepts included:
Expanding on the success of APTARE StorageConsole Backup Manager, in 2007 APTARE released a storage capacity reporting product based on this same StorageConsole architecture – APTARE StorageConsole Capacity Manager. APTARE StorageConsole Capacity Manager provided unique heterogeneous storage resource management across enterprise class storage infrastructures giving customers the ability to reduce their costs through improved utilization of their storage environments. In 2009 APTARE was granted its first patent and continued product introductions with two new products – APTARE StorageConsole Virtualization Manager and APTARE StorageConsole Replication Manager. APTARE StorageConsole Virtualization Manager demystifies storage utilization in virtual server environments while APTARE StorageConsole Replication Manager assures reliability for storage based data replication. APTARE’s success continues in 2010 with the introduction of StorageConsole 8. Core to StorageConsole 8 is the addition of APTARE StorageConsole Fabric Manager to APTARE’s suite of StorageConsole products. APTARE StorageConsole Fabric Manager helps IT administrators proactively manage their dynamic SAN environments. New in APTARE StorageConsole 8 is an innovative user experience through interactive dashboards and simplified user administration to provide automatic synchronization and update. With over 500 enterprise customers worldwide, APTARE continues to provide customers with the information they need to effectively manage their storage infrastructures.
