StorageConsole Portal Enhancements

The APTARE StorageConsole Portal features many new enhancements with this latest release.

Automatic Data Collector Updates — Now you can be sure your data collector is running the latest version with the new auto-update feature. The Portal now can be configured to automatically download the latest data collector version, install it, and alert the administrator of this update.

Support for CentOS — CentOS has been added as a supported operating system for the Portal installation.

Administrator Alerting — A System Notification indicator, at the top of the administrator’s browser window, alerts the administrator to issues that require attention.

StorageConsole Backup Manager Enhancements

APTARE StorageConsole Backup Manager provides detailed reporting on the most popular backup solutions, and is now even has more features.

New NetBackup Library Capacity Forecast Report — A new NetBackup Library Capacity Forecast report provides both a bar chart view and a tabular report showing library capacity, current usage, and forecasted usage.

TSM Recovery Log Details — APTARE StorageConsole Backup Manager includes a new TSM Recovery Log Utilization report the shows the TSM Recovery Log (LOG and LOGVOLUMES) usage in a bar chart.

APTARE StorageConsole Capacity Manager Enhancements

APTARE StorageConsole Capacity Manager provides detailed reporting on SAN/NAS environments.. This latest release includes many enhancements for StorageConsole Capacity Manager.

Hitachi DP Pool Utilization Dashboard — A new report, the Hitachi DP Pool Utilization dashboard, graphically presents Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning details, reflecting capacity, allocated, reserved, and available storage.

Host Chargeback Includes VM Disks — The Chargeback by Host report now reports on VM disks (vmdk files), including the raw LUN mapped to the VM.

Improved Host Data Error Reporting — The Host Utilization Detail report now includes an indicator of host data collection errors that occurred in the 24-hour period preceding the last poll date. A link is provided to easily access the Data Collection Message Summary for details. In addition, this report displays the last poll date in red if the poll date is more than a customer-configurable timeframe (the default timeframe is 24 hours).

Support for Sesudo — APTARE StorageConsole Capacity Manager now supports sesudo for Host Resources data collection.

More Host Data Collection Options — For Host Resource data collection for hosts behind firewalls, a tool has been provided to manually load data from a comma-separated file. This file would include domain name, host name, HBA WWN, and Port WWN.

Support for EMC CLARiiON FLARE 3.2X — In addition to EMC CLARiiON FLARE 2.x, APTARE StorageConsole Capacity Manager now supports EMC CLARiiON FLARE, version 3.2x.
