In this podcast, Bob Laliberte, ESG Analyst discusses the impact of Storage Resource Management software. The moniker, SRM covers a lot of ground. Seven years ago, it was mainly focused on provisioning and allocating storage. Many of the SRM products available at the time were derived from the numerous Storage Service Providers (SSPs) turned software vendors. These tools were somewhat primitive and didn't live up to all the hype surrounding them. Since then, there have been numerous advances and developments that extend the value of SRM software to the IT groups.
