The cookies that APTARE uses to manage its website are either “session cookies” or “persistent cookies”. Whereas, persistent cookies remain on your computer or your mobile device until you delete them or they expire.

Most of the cookies used by APTARE are first party cookies. That is cookies directly sent from the APTARE website. APTARE also uses third party cookies from Google Analytics and Marketo domains to perform usage analytics on our website.

Most browsers automatically accept session and persistent cookies and first party and third party cookies by default, however you can usually refuse cookies or selectively accept cooking by adjusting the preferences in your browser. The APTARE StorageConsole suite of products does not use cookies of any type in our implementation of these products and, specifically, in the APTARE StorageConsole portal server.

Other Automated Data Collection Tools

APTARE uses "web beacons" and "embedded web links" to provide better service to our customers.
  • Web beacons
A web beacon is an electronic image, called a (1x1) “pixel tag” or a clear GIF. With web beacons we can recognize certain types of information on your computer or your mobile device such as cookies, the time and date of a page viewed, and a description of the page where the web beacon is placed. Depending on the context, web beacons may also refer to content on a third-party server, and may be used by service providers to deliver relevant the context, web beacons can may also refer to content on a third-party server, and may be used by service providers to deliver relevant information to you. APTARE or it service providers use web beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about your website usage and your interaction with email, as well as to measure performance of the APTARE websites.
  • Embedded web links
An embedded web link is a link within an email message that point to a specific webpage. APTARE or it service providers use these web links in email messages to personalize your experience when clicking on these web links within email messages and collecting information on how you interact with email messages sent by APTARE. If you do not want APTARE to utilize this information, you can choose to receive email messages in text format rather than HTML. 
  • Logging
As is true of most websites, we gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, and date/time stamp. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the site, to learn about user behavior on the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. APTARE may use this information in our marketing services to promote awareness about APTARE products.

APTARE’s website, online services, interactive applications, and email messages may use these automated data collection technologies to help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our website people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of our website.

In some of our email messages, we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the APTARE website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.

The APTARE StorageConsole product suite collects and logs information about user interaction with the APTARE StorageConsole portal server to help us with support cases and to improve the human experience using the APTARE StorageConsole portal server. The APTARE StorageConsole product suite does not make use of web beacon or embedded web links within any of the individual products.
